Essie DJ Play That Song Neon 2013

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
 
Today I have swatches of Essie DJ Play That Song (Neon 2013) collection! I received them  as part of my essie girl prize. This collection is made of 6 neon polishes but essie forgot to send me Bottle Service, a medium hot pink. So keep in mind that there is one more shade in this collection.
 
 

 
Essie suggest to wear them over white to bring their neon-side out even more. That's what I did for the first polish I've tried (Bouncer It's Me) but I know a lot of people don't like wearing a white base so I swatched the others without it to see how they behave on their own. They dry to a semi-matte finish.
 
 
Bouncer It's Me - "muscles, lists, velvet ropes? no problem. gain entry and instant recognition in this intensely vivid blue polish that’s your ticket in."

I used 2 coats over white and 1 coat of top coat.
Bouncer It's Me is a bright electric blue jelly. It's quite sheer and seemed to take a bit longer than regular polishes to dry
I expected the formula to be aweful considering the reviews I had read about it but sincerely it was not that bad for me. Also note that I have the European version of the polish, wich means the brush is wider (à la Lancôme). So it might be a reason why it made application easier.
It's so bright and pretty, I really love this! I've already worn it as a full manicure but I want to wear it again ;)


 

DJ play that song - "infectious grooves. killer backbeat. pump up the volume in the jammiest neon plum polish that gets everyone on their feet."
I used 2 coats plus top coat.
DJ play that song is a red toned bright purple. Super pretty! Formula was nice.


 
 
Shake your $$ maker - "light up the fashion scene in this electric green nail color and shake, strut and sashay your way up the ladder of $uccess."
I used 3 coats plus top coat.
Shake your $$ maker is a bright grass green jelly. It's the sheerest of the collection but you get almost full opacity at 3 coats. You can see a little bit of visible nail line on the pictures but it was not visible in real life. It has the same kind of formula as Bouncer it's me.




Saturday disco fever - "your temperature is rising and the only cure is a night on the town and this superhot fire coral polish. doctor’s orders."
I used 3 coats plus top coat.
Saturday disco fever is a very bright orange jelly. It was almost opaque in 2 coats but I used 3 here to be sure it would look pretty on close-up pictures. I also noticed it took more time to dry than regular polishes because when I applied top coat, it dragged some of the polish away.




Boom boom room - "feel like dancing the night away in the hottest boîte in town? This ultrabrightpink polish is your passport to party paradise. Boom!"
I used 3 coats plus top coat. 2 coats would have been enough to reach full opacity but an additional coat was necessary to smooth everything out. Formula was a bit thick but not difficult to work with. This color is quite surprising since it's a baby pink but super bright!






Overall, that's a very bright collection and I love the colors. You can layer them over white if you want them to pop more but I don't think that's necessary. They already look quite bright on their own. I had heard a lot of mixed feeling about the formula of these polishes but sincerely they are not that bad at all. That's true that the blue and the green are a bit sheer and drying time is a bit longer than usual but the colors are so delicious that I don't think that's such a big issue. My favorites are Bouncer It's Me and Shake Your $$ Maker!

Watercolor flowers - Tutorial

Hello,

The theme of this year was nail art and the rule was to create our most beautiful nail art with 3 piCture pOlish shades. At first, I thought we could chose the polishes we wanted to use. So I did a mani with O'Hara, White Wedding, and Mardi Gras and that's the mani I'll show you in this post! ;D
 

 

 
For the index and pinkie I used O'Hara. For the middle and ring finger I used White Wedding. I actually used one coat of White Wedding over white because I wanted it to be completely opaque in less than 3 coats. And finally I added some purple glitters fromMardi Gras :D
 
 



 
 
And here is a tutorial to recreate the flowers. That's very very easy. The hand I'm showing you in my swatches is my dominant hand (except the last picture), which means I painted it with my non-dominant hand very easily :D
 
 
 
The brushes and dotting tool (reviewed here) I used are from Born Pretty! Sorry for the bad quality of the brush pictures. I should have swatched them against a black background but unfortunately when I realized that, I had already extensively used the different brushes...I'm currently using one of the small angle brush from this set as my clean-up brush. It works great ;) There are 15 brushes in the set and it costs only $5.96.

Free Glitter Macro Wallpapers!

Hello,

As you might know, some time ago I got a macro lens for my Canon and I thought it could be a great opportunity to take macro pictures of my glitter polishes and make them into phone wallpapers.
 
It also got the idea from Sarah of Chalkboard Nails. She did that some time ago and I've been using her wallpaper of Cirque Débris since today. But now it's time to make my own wallpapers ;) And as I'm a nice little girl, I didn't add any watermark and I will share these wallpapers with you :D





So today I'll give you phone wallpapers of 6 Lynnderella polishes!
 
From your computer, right click on the picture and open it in a new window in order to get the high resolution picture.  
On your phone, tap and hold on the photo then save it to your phone. You will then be able to set it as your wallpaper or lock screen!

Pictures are high resolution images and I've resized them to be compatible with IPhone 4 (pictures on the left) and IPhone 5 (pictures on the right). They should also work on most Android phones.

 I just made 6 phone wallpapers but I wanted to have your opinion on them before making more!

I'm personally using One Nutty Fruitcake on both my Itouch and IPad. By the way, the size of these wallpapers work also for Itouch and IPad! How great is that! :D

Dance Legend - Robots vs Humans

Hello,

I hope you all had a great weekend!
Today I'm super excited to show you one of the most amazing holographic polishes I've ever tried! It's Dance Legend - Robots vs Humans! If you don't know, Dance Legend is a Russian brand that makes holographic, thermo, glitter, and textured polishes.




I was not home when I took these pictures, which means I didn't have my usual shooting setup but I took pictures outstide in the sun instead ;D and oh yeah, I took these pictures after 3 days I painted my nails and they still looked great!!







 
 
Final thoughts: Dance Legend Robots vs Humans is a gorgeous chestnut brown linear holographic polish! Honestly, that's the most holographic polish I've ever seen. Even in low lightening, you could still see the linear holo effect. Moreover, it's a true linear holo and the holo effect looks very smooth. And I'm huge fan of brown polishes so I guess you can imagine how happy I am with this polish! I just love it A LOT!
I used 2 coats and didn't have any trouble with application. I wore it for several days without any chip!

The New Black - Tabolid Sensations

Hello,

What about some nail art with polishes from The New Black?
Today I have the set called Tabolid Sensations to show you! This set is part of the Subculture - Contemporary Neons collection and is made of 2 polishes: a super bright fuchsia creme and a coral with a beautiful gold shimmer.
The New Black polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, camphor, and DBP. Each polish holds 0.125 oz/3.7 mL of nail polish.
 
 


The fuchsia polish of this set is super bright and dries to a matte finish (see the following picture). It is very well pigmented and require only 1 coat for a fully opaque look. The shimmery coral requires 2 coats. Both polishes were very easy to apply!
 



I decided to do a zigzag/chevron manicure with these 2 colors and just love the result! I first painted both colors on a plastic ziplock bag, waited for them to dry, and then took my zigzag scissors to cut strips out of them. Finally I placed the zigzag strips on my nails and sealed everything with top coat.





Final thoughts: The set Tabolid Sensations by The New Black is just awesome! The bright fuchsia and shimmery coral go so well together! I actually wore them for one week with the fuchsia on my thumb and middle and ring fingers and the coral on my index and pinkie (without the zigzag pattern) and got so many compliments on how awesome these 2 colors looked together and that it was such a good idea to pair them in one manicure!
Application was honestly a dream. I didn't expect them to flow on the nails as they did. It was a nice surprise! The consistency was perfect and they are well pigmented. In summary, I'm super happy wiht this set and I'm SURE I'll wear these 2 polishes together again! I highly recommend it! :D

Avis:
J'aime beaucoup les lignes nettes, pures et masculines du flacon avec le tube noir à l'intérieur qui contraste avec le reste du flacon. ça donne un look très architecturé tout en restant très élégant et sophistiqué; bref un effet viril et raffiné. L'odeur quant à elle est juste sublime. Elle n'est ni trop puissante ni trop légère, juste bien dosée. Habituellement, je trouve souvent trop fort les parfums pour hommes mais Dior Homme est juste exquis. Franchement, j'adore! Pour moi c'est la version masculine du parfum Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle qui est mon parfum préféré (avec Eau Fraîche d'ailleurs). A mon avis, c'est un parfum vraiment bien adaptée pour les 20-40 ans et une super idée de cadeau.
 
My thoughts:
I love the crisp, clear, and maculine lines of the bottle, with the inside black tube that contrasts with the rest of the bottle. It reflects a very architectural but very elegant and sophisticated look; a virile and refined effect. As for the smell, it is justsublime. It is neithertoo powerful nortoo light, just perfect. Usually men fragrances are a bit too strong for me but Dior Homme is just divine. Sincerely, I love it! For me it's the male version of Dior Eau Sensuelle, which is my all-time favorite fragrance (with Eau Fraîche). In my opinion, this fragrance is very well suited for men between 20 and 40 years old and very nice idea for a gift.

Sinon, sincèrement je vous conseille de tester ce parfum car il sent vraiment très bon. Il est juste bien dosé et vous donne envie de vous approcher de la personne qui le porte pour le respirer!
 
So what do you think of Robert Pattinson as the new face of Dior Homme? Seduced?
Apart from that, I sincerely recommend you to test this fragrance because the scent is so very nice. Not too strong nor too powerful, just perfect. It makes you want to come closer to the person wearing it :D

Cadillacquer Fireflies & Don't Be Scared LE Duo

Don't Be Scared has a light blue-toned pink crelly (creme-jelly hybrid) base with a strong blue shimmer, and different sizes of matte pink glitters and dark blue glitters.
I used 3 coats here. If you prefer fewer glitters on the nails, you could layer it over a light pink base color.
 




BTW, thanks for your feeback on my glitter maco wallpapers! I'll definitely be doing more of them very soon (without the watermark).
 
 
Fireflies has a very dark blackened purple base color, almost black, with violet shimmer, small purple glitters and small metallic gold glitters.
I used 2 coats.
 




Can you see fireflies glowing in the night? I  totally can!
 
 
It's funny to see that this duo is composed of 2 completely different polishes, a light and a dark one! Don't Be Scared is super pretty because of its strong blue shimmer, which gives a very nice crystal-like look to the nails. But my favorite is Fireflies because it really looks like fireflies glowing in a dark night! The combination of purple and gold glitters is just super pretty!
Both polishes were easy to apply.

Shimmer Polish - Kelly, Fanny & Karine

Hello,

Glitter lovers, come here! I have swatches of 3 Shimmer Polishes to share with you. If you're not familiar with the brand, Shimmer Polish is a brand created by Cindy, she is based in the US, and adore glitters! She makes polishes with tones of glitters and love and every polish is named after a woman important in her life.
I've already swatched quite a lot of Shimmer Polishes. You can see them HERE.

I will start with Shimmer Polish Kelly. Kelly is made of gold and green glitters in a clear base. The gold glitters are holographic, which makes this polish super sparkly!
I've used one coat of Kelly over Essie Shake Your $$ Maker (reviewed HERE) and did a gradient on the middle and ring fingers. By the way, I cannot express how much I love that green Essie ♡

I love this combo so much!! When I had to remove it, it literally broke my heart!
 
 
Next is Fanny. The main color of the polish is pink but you can spot a lot of other colors when you look at it closer (cf the macro picture). The base color is slightly tinted in pink. I layerd it over Essie DJ Play That Song (reviewed HERE).

Super pretty, isn't it? In fact, I love wearing Shimmer Polishes with this gradient/full nail combination!
 
 
And the last one is a very special polish! Cindy kindly offered to make me a custom polish! Yay~ I was so excited when I heard that! I first asked for a polish with mainly white glitters and with additional light pink and blue ones and I wanted different sizes of glitters. Unfortunately white glitters were not available at that moment, so we went for pink and purple glitters. And then Cindy did her magic and created this baby for me! And it's name Karine (my name ;D )!
So Karine is mainly made of pink glitters in different sizes and shapes with some tiny purple glitters. The medium sized glitters are holographic and reflect different colors. The base color is pink.
I used 1 coat over A England Ophelia.

So what do you think of Shimmer Polishes? Do you prefer using them on the whole nail or as gradients?
I must admit I have a weak spot for Kelly! I think it looks awesome over Essie Shake Your $$ Maker! Of course, I also love Karine lol I actually love the bar glitters and the holographic glitters in it.
As always, Shimmer Polishes are easy to apply and have a good formula.

Essie Color guide #1-100!

Hi everyone,

This post will be HUGE!! I have swatches of 100 Essie polishes to share with you today! So take a seat, grab a cup of coffee, tea or cocoa and relax!
 
Number 1-100 are part of Essie core line. For all swatches, I used 2 coats of polish to make comparison of opacitiy between the shades easier. I didn't use any base or top coat because there were too many colors to swatch and it was faster this way but don't skip this step when you do a real manicure! Note that I polished my nail and immediately took a photo. The polish was therefore still wet hence the high shine you can see on the pictures.



I kept the images very large so don't hesitat to click on them (or right click on the image and open it in another window for example) to see them in larger size ;D Excuse my stained nails for the sheer polishes!

Sooo are you ready?



#2-3 can be built up to almost full opacitiy if you use more than 2 coats. However, #5-7 are very sheer with #5 being the sheerest (aka cool for sandwich manicures). Some of them are quite similar and it's honestly hard to distinguish them but note than when you go from 1 to 8, you gradually go from a pure white to a white with slightly pink undertones. #9 Vanity Fairest would be cool for layering, is has a slightly milky base with silver sparkles. If you want an opaque polish that is not completely white, go for #14 Fiji.


I guess you can see in the pictures if a polish has a shimmer or is frosty so I'll just point out the jellies (syrup finish).
#26 Satus Symbol is a jelly.  #28 Rose Bowl and #32 Exotic Liras have both a creme-jelly hybrid formula.


#45 Sole Mate, #50 Bordeaux, #51 Berry Naughty, #55 A List, #57 Forever Yummy, #59 Aperitif, #60 Really Red are jellies.


#63 Too Too Hot, #65 Geranium, #67 Meet Me At Sunet, #68 Capri, and #75 Smokin' Hot have a creme-jelly hybrid formula. #66 Clambake is a jelly.

And because I've gone completely crazy with all these swatches, I wanted to add moaaaaar so I've added a slideshow, cool if you want to see detailed pictures of each polish ;D

When you go shopping you usually don't take the time to have a close look at every polish so hopefully this post will help you find the colors you like! I personally didn't know that Essie core line had some jellies and I hadn't realized that the shimmer polishes were that gorgeous! Honestly, you have to have a closer look at them! Lynnderella - BirdBrain Blue

I hope you're all doing well. At the moment, I'm on a one-week seminar in the Swiss mountains so it's a bit more difficult to blog and that's why I'll keep this blog post short :D 
 
Today's post is about a manicure I wore some days ago and I loved it so much I had to share it now! I used Lynnderella BirdBrain Bluefrom Everything's Coming Up Neon collection and essence Ice Eyes Baby (Crystalliced LE).
 
 
BirdBrain Blue is described by Lynnderella as follows:

BirdBrain Blue has scattered cyan, turquoise, magenta, neon blue and green, neon pink and pastel satin aqua glitters in a soft, translucent robin's egg aqua base with matching shimmer.

 




 
 
I used 2 coats of essence Ice Eyes Baby and 1 coat of Lynnderella BirdBrain Blue. In this polish, there are many different sizes of glitters: flower, heart, butterfiy, diamond, hexagonal, and square glitters with a fine blue shimmer. Honestly, this is one of my favorite Lynnderella polishes with Connect the Dots, Evermore, and Nosegay. I love the ration between small and larger glitters, the neon glitters, and that the glitters lay flat on the nails and are smooth to the touch! I think I like it so much because you can modulate the amount of glitters you get on your nails and it is very wearable. I actually love it when you don't have too many large glitters on the nails but of course, if you prefer you can use 2 coats to get more glitters. Application was easy, the polish is not too thick.

The New Black - Bright Lights, Big City

Hello,

I did some nail art with The New Black set called Bright Lights, Big City. This set is part of the Subculture Contemporary Neons line and contains 2 polishes (4mL/0.125 Fl.Oz. each).
Let's have a look, shall we?
 
 

To create this nail art, I started by painting on a Ziplock bag 2 large squares with each polish from the set. I let them dry and then cut some random shapes out of them, removed the plastic sheet and was therefore left with the shapes made of polish only. I finally placed the shapes randomly on my nails and sealed everything with top coat.
 
 





 
Final thoughts: I would have never thought of using a bright metallic blue with an almost neon orange shade together but I think they work great together! The blue is particularly pretty because it's a super bright metallic blue. Most metallic blue polishes I know are darker and to this end, it's quite unique. Formula of both polishes was very nice. The orange polish is a one-coater creme and the blue requires 2 coats to reach full opacity.

Hello,

If you follow me on instagram, you may know I had the opportunity to attend Estée Lauder press conference for fall/winter 2013 where I could discover upcoming products! I guess you can imagine how excited I was and I must say I am very impressed with almost everything! ;) I would also like to take the time to thank all the Estée Lauder team because everyone was so  nice and friendly, and they gave very good explanations on every product. The presentation was sincerely very interesting!
 
 
 

I will start to present you what was inside my goodie bag (oh yeah!) and then I'll add some pictures of the event!
 
 
 
Sooo let's start! The first product is the famous Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Honestly, if you don't know this product yet, you have to try it! It's sincerely awesome. It works very well to make your skin smoother. Also, if you tend to have red spots on your cheeks (like me ;D ) or other parts of your face, you will love it because it helps a lot!
 


Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair has now been reformulated. So what's new?

Estée Lauder has collaborated with the University Hospitals Case Medical Center (Cleveland, OH) to conduct an independent clinical study about sleep and its effect on skin. Basically, sleep is of utmost importance for cell growth and the restorative functions of the organism. A lack of sleep has already been associated with medical issues such as obesity, diabetes or immunodeficiency, but to date there was no scientific examination of its effect on skin functions and aspect. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of a chronic lack of sleep on different skin parameters, such as skin aging and its capacity to deal with external stress factors. They proved that there is indeed a correlation between the lack of sleep and a reduced skin capacity to repair cells after external stresses. This might seem obvious but it is actually the first time that this was scientifically proven.
 
Estée Lauder took into account the observations made during this clinical study to develop their new serum. So what is new in this serum is the "synchronized recovery complex II", which helps the purification process of the skin that is performed during the night when you sleep. It stimulates the elimination of metabolic wastes that can cause cellular damage and activates the repair mechanisms of the skin.
 
The technology present in the previous version of the serum (Chronolux™ technology) is also there to support the repair action of the "synchronized recovery complex II". This technology features the clock gene technology that helps support the natural synchronization of the skin’s night-time renewal process, so that every skin cell renew itself at exactly the right time.

To summarize, there are two key elements in this reformulated serum: the Synchronized Recovery Complex technology (skin purification) and Chronolux™ Technology (synchronization of the cell activity). Cellular performance are therefore optimized, skin cells perform more efficiently and effectively and the skin overall natural nightly renewal increases.

I typically don't sleep enough and I must admit, I'm rather happy with this serum. It does improve the overall appearance of my skin that feels smoother. Honestly, that's a great product and if you are in the same case as me (who doesn't get enough sleep), I highly recommend  this serum! All the people I know who have tried it are delighted!
 

 
 
Now concerning the makeup, the new collection for fall is called Molten Metals. In this collection, you have lipsticks, eyeshadow trios, lip lacquers, and nail polishes and the key adjective of the collection is "metallic"!

This trio is made of 3 neutral sparkly yet subtle shades. That's the perfect palette for everyday looks!
 
 



 
OK, guys, let me tell you this palette is my new everyday palette! The colors are beautiful and I guess they fit almost any skin tones. The eyeshadows are easy to apply, very creamy and they stay beautifully on your eyelids all day long.
 
For the swatches below, I applied the eyeshadows dry. If you want a more intense look, you can of course use them wet. You can for example add a drop of water in the mirror of the eyeshadow case and briefly dip the applicator in it and then take some eyeshadow before applying it on your eyelid.
 
 
 
Estée Lauder Lip Lacquer in Hot Cherry.
This lip lacquer has about the same opacity as a lipstick but the shiny effect of a gloss. It feels very moisturizing on the lips and is not sticky at all. It has some gold shimmer particles but didn't dry my lips. It lasted a few hours on me (eating and driking included). It is supposed to last 6 hours. I would say it lasted about 4 hours on me but after that there was still a stain/wash of color, which is pretty nice in my opinion. Another important thing is that the combination of the applicator and the formula of the lip lacquer make it so easy to apply it where you want it to be. You almost don't have to do any cleanup even with such a bright red.
 



 
 
 
I also got a makeup remover. I already talked a little about this new line of makeup remover, cleanser and purifying mask that was introduced last spring (HERE) but I hadn't had the chance to try any of them. I tried to remove different types of mascara and eyeliner and it worked very well and removed everything without effort! I will definitely repurchase it when it will be empty ;D

And finally we have Estée Lauder's new fragrance called Modern Muse. I must tell you that I'm very picky when it comes to fragrance but I absolutely adore Modern Muse! First time I smelled it, my brain froze a little because I was amazed at how nice it smelled! I'm a bit addicted to it now! It's my new favorite fragrance for fall!
 
Interestingly Estée Lauder Modern Muse doesn’t have a top, heart and base note as most fragrances, but has instead two accords. You have the floral accord dominated by jasmine and the woody accord with patchouli, vanilla, amber, and musk. Thanks to this unique and creative concept, this fragrance will give two first impressions. Some people will recognize the jasmine first, while others will have access to the woody touch first. Personally, I recognize the jasmine first but it was interesting to see during the press conference that indeed some people discerned the woody accord first, while others recognized the jamsine first.

China Glaze neon & Kitties

Hello,
Any idea how your neon polish will look if you go clubbing? Yes, it will glow under black light!
I had fun playing with China Glaze Heat Index (Sunsational collection) and some stamping!



On the above photo, I'm holding my hand under a black light bulb ;) It's fun to see that neon polishes get even more attention under black light than in regular lightening conditions! Look at that glow!


I started with 4 thin coats of China Glaze Heat Index. It's a super sheer hot pink neon jelly. I LOVE it!



Then I mattified it with OPI Matte top coat and then stamped with Essence Stamp Me! Black using Konad image plate m91.
I'm a bit obsessed with mattifying neon polishes at the moment! Fall is already there but I want to continue wearing them and I think it makes them more fall appropriate when you mattify them! What do you think? 

How cute is this image plate? I actually got it from NailPolish Canada to review. Konad always makes high quality plates and this plate follows the rule. You can easily get a crisp design!

Avis: Trop contente que Dior utilise à nouveau ces somptueux packagings pour sa collection de Noël! Tous les lipsticks ont l'air super jolis, difficile de choisir un préféré...je vais peut-être me laisser tenter par Royale ou Etoile. Les vernis...faut-il préciser que je les trouve sublimes? J'ai eu l'occasion de voir Minuit (review bientôt d'ailleurs) et il est à tomber avec sa base mauve foncé et toutes ses paillettes! Je me demande si Marilyn est un réédition de celui de l'année passée...Et vous avez vu le duo avec les perles? C'est vrai que les microperles blanches donnent un air de neige mais j'avoue que je n'aurais jamais pensé que Dior se mette à la caviar manicure! J'ai hâte de voir à quoi ce duo ressemble en vrai. Sinon les palettes sont à tomber aussi! Décidément, je suis sous le charme de toute la collection!
Et vous, qu'en pensez-vous?
 
Thoughts: Super happy that Dior will use this gorgeous packaging again for the holiday collection! All metallic matte lipsticks seem really pretty, hard to chose only one...maybe I'll get Royale or Etoile because I love both. The nail polishes...do I have to say that I find them sublime? I have Minuit (review coming soon) and it's to die for with its dark purple  base and incredibly shimmer. I wonder if Marilyn is a re-release from last year holiday collection... And have you seen the duo with the pearls? That's true the white micropearls remind me of snow but I wouldn't have thought Dior would go in the caviar manicure direction. I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks in real life. And those palettes, aren't they beautiful? Obviously, I'm under the spell of this collection!

I received Kérastase Lift Vertige from Coolbrandz to give it a try and give you my thoughts about it. Coolbrandz is a platform that is entirely dedicated to the Swiss market where they feature new and cool brands that are available in Switzerland. You can learn more about it HERE!
 
 

 
Kérastase Lift Vertige is a root-uplifting gel. It's formulated with a heat-styling protective agent. You have to apply it on damp hair at the roots. Using a brush and blowdryer, lift the roots for a volumizing effect!
 

 

Design and packaging: First of all, I really like the packaging. What I like are the colors - teal and gold  look luxurious together - and the fact that the the bottle is not completely smooth but has a little bit of texture for an easy grip. The delivery of the gel via a pump is very convenient.
Importantly, you have the instructions written on both the box and the pump dispenser.
 



  
 
Characteristic and use: As I mentioned before the product is a gel. It's NOT sticky and doesn't leave a greasy feeling in your hair.There is no specific smell. You have to apply it on damp hair. I typically use 3 pumps for all my head.
 


 
Effect: To see the root lifting effect, you have to use a brush and blowdryer and lift the hair roots. It's supposed to give more volume to your hair. I did notice more volume! The effect was definitely there but not "spectacular". In fact when I hear "lift vertige", I expect something crazy and out-of-this-world but the effect is more subtle than that lol However if you're looking for more volume, it's a great product mainly because the texture and formula of the gel is very nice compared to other products. It's not sticky and doesn't make your hair looks greasy. Moreover, I have the clear impression that my hair is smoother and feel silkier. So I really like it for that! That's a huge plus for me ;D

Cadillacquer Breaking Bad Collection (Part I)

Hello,

I'm super excited to share some swatches of Cadillacquer's new collection called Breaking Bad, inspired by the famous drama series of the same name ;D This collection is made of 12 polishes and I'll  be showing 6 of them today!
 
All 6 polishes are very complex, with a subtle scattered holo effect and shimmer. Pictures don't do them justice, you have to believe me! You really have to see them with your own eyes! I used the flash for some pictures (the second picture of each polish and the macro) because otherwise it was difficult to show you the holo and shimmer although they were visible in normal lightening. But as I said, the holo effect is subtle!
 
 



 
 
BetTer Call SAul! is made of a blue base with turquoise shimmer and scattered holographic effect. The turquoise shimmer is quite visible but unfortunately it doesn't translate on pictures...
 I used 2 coats plus top coat. According on how you apply your polish, you will need 2 or 3 coats.
Awesome blue!
 


 
 
Blowfish is a light green with color changing sparkles from blue to pink and a subtle scattered holographic effect.  I used 2 coats plus top coat.
I just love love love the tiny flecks and subtle holo in it! It looks super delicate and just so pretty!! The base color is also very unique and gorgeous!
 


 
 
Cap'n Cook is a purple with glowing red/pink shimmer and scattered holographic effect.  I used 2 coats plus top coat.
It looks so deep and beautiful!!
 


 
 
Crystal is a sparkling turquoise blue with scattered holographic effect. Both pictures are taken  without flash.  I used 2 coats plus top coat.
OMG! "Love at first sight" is what describe this polish for me! I've never seen such a polish, it's totally unique in my stash!
 

 
 
Pinkman is a light pink with gold sparkles and a subtle scattered holographic effect.  I used 2 coats plus top coat.
That's the most delicate polish in this collection and it's totally breathtaking! The sutble holo and flecks make it gorgeous and totally unique!
 



 
 
 
Yeah Science! is a light lavender with red/pink sparkles and subtle scattered holo effect.  I used 2 coats plus top coat.
Awesome color, awesome shimmer, do I need to say more?
 





 
Final thoughts: OMG! I can't express how much I love this collection! The polishes are honestly true gems! They're all very unique and so beautiful. Dare I say that it's one of my all time favorite indie collections? I do, no joke! Moreover, their quality is awesome, they're super easy to apply. Cadillacquer is definitely an impressive brand you have to check out!

Wow I'm very excited to see the essence “superheroes” collection! I'm sure I'll pick the thermo and the sand polishes!! The others look also very cool! I'm collecting essence and Catrice pouches so of course, I want this one ;D
I'm also very interested in the kiwi-dark chocolate hand creme! I wonder if it really smells like kiwi!
Concerning the Catrice collection, the makeup products are pretty but they don't excite me too much. I'm not sure how the Catrice polishes will look but they seem quite interesting! I have to see them in real life ;D
