Essie - For the Twill of It

Hello,

I have swatches of essie fall collection called "For the Twill of It" and inspired by the textures and fabrics of the season.

For each polish, I used 2 coats to get full coverage and a nice and smooth finish. Application was very easy because they have a good formula.

After school boy blazer - It’s back to cool when you’re back in blue-black. This academy blue is the prep-school chic must of the season.
After school boy blazer is a very dark blue, almost black. That's the kind of polishes that looks very elegant and that I love mattifying! I have to try that ;D

Cashmere bathrobe - Cozy up to this cuddly soft, true flannel gray and you’ll never want to take it off. Who knew comfort could be so chic?
The first coat was a bit watery but it got opaque on the second coat without problem. I really like this gray for fall and have you seen those flecks? It looks so pretty and it does remind me of a cozy heathered sweater.

For the twill of it - Darling, you don’t need a reason to suit yourself in this compelling rich maple with reflective olive shimmer.
OK, I have to admit that I was not sure about the gray-purple duochrome because I have a more or less similar shade (Catrice - Iron Mermaiden) that I don't like because it's super brushstroke-y and difficult to apply. But For the Twill of It has a much better formula and finally once I had it on the nails, I just loved it! I didn't notice before that there was some green in there. In fact it shifts from purple to green and has a gray base. The green is very visible in the shade!

The lace is on - Get set and go in this glistening, jeweltoned pearlescent fuchsia and live life in the fast lane.
That's a pretty shimmery fuchsia that would look great associated with Cashmere bathrobe, After school boy blazer, or For the twill of it!

Twin sweater set- Too much of a good thing? Impossible. It’s double or nothing with this vibrant crimson red.
It may seems a common shade but surprisingly it's one of my favorites from this collection! That's the perfect shade of red for fall, not too bright and not too dark, just as it shoud be. Moreover, the formula was awesome, so easy to apply. I'm sure I'll wear it more than once this fall!

Vested interest - Stock up on the classics. This tweedy, woolen cool gray teal has sartorial style all buttoned up.
That's a quite unusual color and I love that! It's difficult to say if it's more teal than gray but whatever it's gorgeous!

Overall, I'm super happy with this collection. The colors are perfect for fall and all polishes have a good formula. Cashmere bathrobe, Twin sweater set, and Vested interest are my favorites, and you?

Polish Alcoholic

Hi there!

I have swatches of some polishes from the Polish Alcoholic! Sabrina, the creator of Polish Alcoholic is based in the Netherlands and is also a fellow blogger! I was sent three polishes to share with you, so let's just give them a closer look!

Supernovae is a duochrome that shifts from copper to purple. Its base is a greyish purple. The color shifts is rather subtle. It's quite sheer on the first coat but can be built up nicely in 3 coats.

Picture taken with flash to show you the purple in it.

Passionate Pink is a thermal polish that changes color when it's hot/warm and cold. When it's cold it's a medium purple. It shifts to a bright pink when it's warm. It's a jelly.
This polish is very sheer. I used 4 coats on my index and middle finger and 3 coats on my other nails and you can see that even with 4 coats, it's not completely opaque. This opacity is absolutely great for glitter sandwich manicures but personally I would have preferred if it were a bit more opaque. Another thing I have to mention is that it contained a few pigment particles (cf. the purple dot on my pinkie and index).

As it was quite sheer, I also layered it over white for the following pictures.

Lumos is a clear top coat that glows green in the dark. By the way, in Harry Potter, lumos is the spell that creates a beam of light that shines from the wand tip, like a flashlight.
I tried it over a dark and a light color and what is great is that it doesn't change the base color. It just add a little bit of texture to the base color but it can be smoothed out with top coat.

I used 1 coat of Lumos over Essie Vested Interest. Pictures are without additional top coat.

I used 1 coat of Lumos over Essie Blanc.

So what do you think about these polishes? Have you ever heard about Polish Alcoholic polishes?

Cuccio - Precious Metals & comparison with OPI SUEDE

$

Hello,

Today I want to show some polishes I've discovered recently. They are awesome because they have a suedefinish! The brand is Cuccio and the collection is called Precious Metals. It's made of 7 polishes with a suede finish. I picked all the colors except a grey one because I already have 2 semi-matte greys and I thought they were too similar.

The polishes are well pigmented. I used 1 coat and no top coat for all the swatches. You may want to use 2 coats to smooth out everything depending on how you polish your nails.

Bronzed Goddess is a brown shimmery matte polish.

Cobalt Cool is a bright blue shimmery matte polish.

Copper Show Stopper is a cinnamon-copper shimmery matte polish.

Iron Clad is an eggplant shimmery matte polish.

Vivacious Verdigris is a dusty green shimmery matte polish.

Rose Gold Romance is a purple with pink undertones shimmery matte polish.

Some of the colors of this collection seem quite close to OPI Suede polishes!
I only have We'll Always Have Paris SUEDE so that's the only one I can compare it with :D

On the picture below I have OPI We'll Always Have Paris SUEDE on my ring finger and on all other nails Cuccio Rose Gold Romance. They look very very close and it's hard to tell them apart. The OPI is a tad bit more silvery than the Cuccio.

Ring finger: OPI We'll Always Have Paris Suede, all other nails: Cuccio Rose Gold Romance.

I'm so happy with these polishes! I love shimmery matte polishes but unfortunately they are not so common so when I saw these polishes, I didn't hesitate for long! I first saw Bronzed Goddess on Penélope Luz's blog HERE.

I've already worn some of them as full manicures. You have to know they chip faster than regular polishes, probably because you don't use top coat when you wear them but I think they're totally worth it! What do you think?

Purchase info
I purchased these polishes from Victoria's Beauty for $10 each. They're all in stock. Nail Supplies also sells Cuccio polishes. Not all the colors are in stock but they are less expensive ($4).

You can open the image in another tab/window to see it in a larger format.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS (IS OPI)), en passant par des effets nacrés (p.ex.

Avis:
Parmi les autres vernis, j'aime beaucoup Cute Little Vixen, Underneath the Mistletoe, Vision of Love, Warm Me Up, All Sparkly and Gold.

Thoughts:
Super impressed by this collection! I'm pretty sure I'll get the 3 mini packs and the White Gold & Silver Top Coat. Among the other polishes, I really like Cute Little Vixen, Underneath the Mistletoe, Vision of Love, Warm Me Up, All Sparkly and Gold. OK, that's most of them so I won't list them all here and will start saving $$ for them :D And you, what do you think of this collection? As excited as I am?

Estée Lauder - Molten Metals (Fall 2013)

Hello,

This fall is all about metallic shades and following the trend, Estée Lauder launched a collection called Molten Metals. I have already written about this collection a bit in a previous post that you can see HERE if you missed it but today I have swatches of 2 polishes from this collection, Rose Gold and Metallic Green.
Both polishes dry to a satin finish. They have a brushedmetal finish and are very pigmented. You can use only 1 coat to get full opacity. The disadvantage of them is that they show every imperfection of your nails. Therefore, you should wear a ridge filling base coat underneath. Believe it or not, I don't have any ridge filling base coat!! So I wore them with a regular base coat. To show you the satin finish, I didn't use top coat for the photos.
Rose Gold is an antic pink with a touch of gold in it.

Metallic Green

As they are so well pigmented, I tried Rose Gold for stamping and it works perfectly well!! I tried it over a plain black creme (Essie Licorice). Can you see how it pops against the dark base! In real life, it was even more spectacular! The plate I used is Cheeky jumbo plate C. I loved it so much that I wore this manicure for almost a full week and I'm sure I'll try something similar again in the future!

Here I used top coat.

What do you think about these polishes? Personally, I love them! They look very pretty on their own but I think I love them even more for stamping! Because they are so pigmented, they work wonderfully well and you can easily get a crisp design even on dark colors!
The other colors from this collection are: Smoked Chrome, Midnight Metal, Chocolate Foil, Steel Orchid, Brushed Gold, and Chrome Violet. Now that I love them so much, I want to get Midnight Metal (bright blue), and  Chrome Violet ;D

Purchase info:
- Estée Lauder products can be purchased from autorized retailers for which you can find a list on Estée Lauder official website. For Switzerland, you can find them here.

Cadillacquer Breaking Bad Collection (Part II)

Hello,

Are you ready for Cadillacquer Breaking Bad Collection Part II?
This collection is inspired by the famous series "Breaking Bad" and consists of 12 truly amazing  polishes! I showed you the 6 lighter/brighter colors of this collection (HERE) and today, I'll show you swatches of the 6 darker polishes ;D

All 6 polishes are very complex, with a subtle scattered holo effect and shimmer. Pictures don't do them justice, you have to believe me! I used a diffused flash for some pictures to show you how they would look in full sun.

Car Wash is a denim blue-based polish with a pink/purple shimmer running through it and subtle scattered holographic effect.
I used 2 coats. That's exactly the type of blue that I love (this one and navy blue) and the shimmer and holo effect both add a lot of depth to this polish! I really like it!

I'm The One Who Knocks! is a forest green with a green shimmer and scattered holographic effect.
I used 2 coats here but it's almost a one coater. Awesome, isn't it? :D

Mr. White has a black base with color changing sparkles that shift from blue to purple and scattered holographic effect.
I used 2 coats. In this one, the holo effect is very very subtle because the holo particles are super fine but it gives the polish much dimension. The shimmer however is quite strong. This one was unexpectedly one of my favorites from this collection!

Pink Teddy Bear has a dark blackened base with pink, slightly color changing sparkles (from pink to orange) and scattered holographic effect.
I used 2 coats. Pink Teddy Bear is the pink version of Mr. White. This one is also very pretty!

Can you see the tiny pink flecks here? It just looks so awesome!

Say My Name is a dark brownish berry red with a strong blue to purple shimmer, blue sparkles and scattered holographic effect.
I used 2 coats. OMG! This one is out of this world! I love everything about it! To me, it has something from a galaxy pattern with its brownish red base and strong blue shimmer. Can I confess something? OK but this have to stay between you and me! Say My Name is the first polish from this second part of the collection that I swatched and when I had it on my nails I nearly shed a tear of emotion because I found it so awesome. That's no a lie, I'm weird, I know, but I was so excited! So thank you for that, Madeleine (the creator of Cadillacquer)!

There's No Better Reason has a very dark green/grey base with gold flecks and sparkles and scattered holographic effect.
I used 2 coats. There's No Better Reason screems fall to me. I'm in the mood for such dark greyish green polishes and the gold flecks just add interest to the polish and make it even more fall appropriate!

And some summary pictures ;D

You can enlarge all the pictures if open them in another tab/window (right click)!

Wow they were a lot of pictures in this post! In fact every polish in this collection is so complex and wonderful that it needs more pictures than usual to characterize it.

I guess you understand it right, I really love this whole Breaking Bad collection. Each polish is unique, original, and very well executed. They're beautiful and, what is also very important, they have a very good formula, easy to work with. I think Madeline, the creator of Cadillacquer, did an unbelievably amazing job!
Now I cannot wait to wear them all as full manicures!

And you, what do you think about this collection?

Cadillacquer polishes can be purchased from Cadillacquer store or from several retailers (see a list HERE). You can follow Cadillacquer on Facebook.

A England - Love is Enough, Excalibur, Rose Bower

Hello,

I have swatches of three beauties to share with you today! Let's A England Love is Enough, Excalibur, and Rose Bower go on the stage!

Excalibur (new edition) is a silver foil packed with coppery gold flakes. On the nails, it looks as a mixture of silver and gold. It's super spakly and you will definitely stand out when you wear this polish! It looks very pretty as a full manicure but I bet it would also look awesome as an accent nail combined with a black nail polish. Formula was very good. I used 2 coats.

Love is Enough is one of the polishes from the "Heavenly Quotes" collection. It's a blackened olive green foil containing golden flakes. Just as Excalibur, it is vey sparkly! Love is Enough is such a mysterious polish. The color is actually difficult to describe and although the base is rather dark, it looks very bright on the nails due to its sparkly side! That's a very interesting polish and I love it!!
Formula was also very good and I also used 2 coats.

Can you see the sparkles on my pinky?

And finally we have Rose Bower from the awesome "Burne-Jones Dream" collection (see the other polishes from this collection HERE and HERE).
Rose Bower is raspberry red with scattered holographic particles and it looks beautiful! That's now one of my go-to polishes ;D I used 2 coats and formula was also excellent, as with all A England polishes.

Picture taken in the sun.

Picture taken in the sun.

As always, A England polishes do not disappoint. I bet they have some sort of magic in them! I truly and deeply love the 3 shades featured in this post and I definitely will wear them again (and again)!

Purchase info:
A England polishes can be purchased from A England website (UK only) and from various retailers. You can find a list of retailers HERE.

Dior Golden Winter collection (Holiday 2013)

$

Hello,
Here I am with an awesome collection and I know a lot of you are very interested in it. This collection is the new Dior collection for holiday called "Golden Winter"! If you missed the press release information about this collection, click HERE!

I've got a nail polish, a lipstick as well as one of eyeshadow palettes from this collection to show you today.
So let's start with the nail polish, 995 Minuit!
Minuit is described a vibrant plum-based polish with fine gold glitters. This polish is quite complex. It contains a gold shimmer that appears fuchsia in some lights and gold in others. Most of the time, you will see a dark plum base with some small fuchsia flakes that give much depth to the polish. The base has a jelly-creme hybrid formula and requires between 2 to 3 coats to reach full opacity. Formula was dreamy and the polish was easy to apply. Note that the brush is not the typical Dior tapered brush, it's more similar to OPI brush but not as wide.

Then we have the lipstick called 045 Minuit.
Diorific Minuit is a fuchsia lipstick with a subtle, natural sheen. The texture of Diorific Minuit (as with all Diorific lipsticks) is really incredible. It's just creamy enough to be easy to apply but not too much that it slips away. While wearing it, it felt very comfortable and hydrating. I wore it for about 5 hours and then ate and drank but it stayed well for that time. Then I had to do some touch up but honestly, even after 5 hours it still looked awesome. If you're looking for a very comfortable, easy to apply and pigmented lipstick, I highly recommend the Diorifics. I will probably get Royale and Etoile from this collection, too!

And finally we have the couture colour eyeshadow palette called "644 Golden Snow". This collection offers 2 palettes, a "warm" one (Golden Flower) with mainly peach, copper, and gold, and a "cold" one with mainly plum, gray, and snow-inspired colors (Golden Snow) and I have this second palette to show you!
#1 (upper left corner) is a cold-toned, iridescent pale pink. It has a rather good color payoff for such a light shade.
#2 (upper right corner) is a very sparkly slightly cold-toned gold. It has a large amount of sparkles but the base color is not very pigmented. I first thought it would look a bit too-much but it's much more wearable than I thought and I really like this shade! It's the highlight of the palette.
#3 (middle) almost looks like real snow. It is a sparkly cool-toned, iridescent white. That's an awesome eyeshadow and great to use as a highlighter.
#4 (lower left corner) is a coppery-pink with a metallic finish.
#5 (lower right corner) is a darkened gray with an almost matte finish, perfect to use as an eyeliner!

Overall, I think the palette is very well balanced and easy to use!

So I hope you like this collection as much as I do!
For nail polish lovers, Minuit is definitely a must-have, probably the most exciting nail polish of this holiday collection! If you've never tried any Diorific lipsticks, you should because they have an awesome formula and the packaging is to die for. I'm in love with Minuit because this fuchsia hue is just perfect for any occasion and it  makes your lips fuller, too. And finally, although the palette is design for the holidays, I think you can also use it, depending on how you play with it, for other occasions all year long.

EDIT: someone asked me on Facebook if Minuit (nail polish) was similar to Chanel Malice. Therefore I did  a quick comparison to show you the difference. On the first picture I only applied one coat to show the base color. Lancôme Flirty Red has a blue-toned red base. Chanel Malice is more of a pure red. Dior Minuit has a fuchsia base and has a jelly-creme hybrid texture. Chanel Taboo is more purple. Both Flirty Red and Malice are polishes with a shimmer, while both Minuit and Taboo are made of tiny glitters/particles. So as you can see Malice is very different from Minuit!

Hello,

I have a quick post about a wonderful  polish, Isadora Love Crush! Last summer, IsaDora launched their first textured polishes called sugar crush. You can see all the 9 colors of this collection HERE. Love Crush is one of them! They have  new sugar crush polishes for fall but unfortunately I haven't been able to find them yet.

IsaDora Love Crush is a raspberry-toned red textured polish loaded with fine pink and gold glitters.

Love Crush is an awesome textured polish, just like I like them, i.e with lots of sparkles! Formula was excellent, easy to apply. It was opaque in 2 coats. I've already worn it twice, which means I LOVE it!
By the way, the bottle is rather small, it holds only 6 ml / 0.2 fl.oz of polish.

If you have the chance to have access to IsaDora polishes, I highly recommend having a look at their sugar crush line!

Purchase info:
In Switzerland, IsaDora polishes can be purchased at Douglas. You can find more information at www.isadora.com.

Hello,

A quick post to show you my Halloween manicure! I wasn't going to do a special manicure for Halloween but finally I decided to do something very simple, easy to do, and wearble even at the office (no day off tomorrow here). And it's been ages since I last did a French manicure!! It's also the first time I've tried to freehand lines!lol but I'm happy with the result :D

I used 2 coats of Essie Muchi, Muchi as my base color, then applied a matte top coat (OPI Matte top coat). I love how Muchi, Muchi looks matte!! I also love that it's quite opaque on its own. Then I painted the tips with EssieBraziliant and added black lines withEssie Licorice. All Essie polishes I used here are part of Essie core line. You can see my post about all Essie #1-100 HERE.
In the picture below, I finished with one coat of matte top coat.

Happy Halloween, have fun, and stay safe! ;D

Essie - Shearling Darling (Winter 2013)

Hello,

I have swatches of the new essie collection for winter called Shearling Darling! So let's have a look at the different polishes that offers this pretty collection!

For each polish, I used 2 coats and formula was nice and easy to work with.

Toggle To The Top - "shake, shimmy and shine your way to the height of fashion in this show-stopping sparkling crushed garnet lacquer"
Toggle To The Top is described as a sparkling crushed garnet red. It's a dark berry red jelly packed with small red glitters. It's totally gorgeous and so appropriate for the holiday season, I love it!
This polish is top coat-thirsty, which means you will need 2 coats of top coat to tame the glitters and get a shiny look.

In this picture, I used only one coat of top coat.

Shearling Darling - "silky smooth and buttery soft on the surface, this plush mahogany red nail lacquer has a deep, dark heart that fires the imagination"
Shearling Darling is described as a rich, plush ebony red. The color is perfect for fall-winter, I love wearing this kind of shades at the moment. It's a very classic and elegant color. One of my favorites from this collection!

Sable Collar - "baby, it’s cold outside. Warm it up with pearlescent cocoa plum polish that adds a touch of luxe to any look"
Sable Collar is described as a luxurious pearlescent cocoa plum. It looks more brown than plum but it has indeed some plum a bit hidden in its base. I absolutely adore this shade! I love the shimmer in it!

I also took a picture with flash to show you the shimmer better and you can see a little bit of plum in the base although that's very subtle.

Warm & Toasty Turtleneck -  "this wisteria pink angora polish is the epitome of snuggly seduction, but be advised: this pretty pullover is no pushover"
Warm & Toasty Turtleneck is described as a wisteria pink angora. To me it's a dusty lilac, a very appropriate way to wear a lilac polish in fall or winter. It's a very pretty shade.

Mind Your Mittens - "charm. etiquette. discretion. you’re a master of manners with serious knit knack in this double diamond black teal lacquer"
Mind Your Mittens is described as a deep black teal. It's a very dark creme. It almost looks black but not exactly. It will look more blue or green depending on the lightening. Under "cold" light, it looks more blue, while under my desk lamp it looked more green. Here on the pictures, it definitely looks more blue. But whatever it looks, I really like it although it's not the most unique color.

Parka Perfect - "après ski or after hours, this serenely shimmering alpine gray lacquer expertly navigates the slopes and the scene in fine form"
Parka Perfect is described as a shimmery gray. It has very fine flecks, the same as the ones in Essie's Naughty Nautical collection (reviewed HERE), but it seems they're more scattered than in the previous collection. The base has a lot of blue in it and in fact, while wearing it, I thought it was rather a blue with some gray in it. I wished the flecks were a bit more visible and numerous, but apart from that, that's a lovely polish!

Overall I think essie did a good job with this collection. There's something for every taste. Moreover, the formula is very good for each polish. I especially love Toggle To The Top, Shearling Darling, and Sable Collar! And you, do you have any favorites?
If you are wondering how Toggle To The Top compares to Leading Lady, Cindy did a comparison HERE.

Hello,

Christimas is coming soon and I have a great gift idea for you today. I've been using Dior J'adore Beautifying Body Milk for a few weeks and I just love it so much I had to share a few words about it with you ;D

Dior J'adore Beautifying Body Milk has the same iconic bottle shape as J'adore fragrance! The bottle is quite heavy and is made of glass. And yes, it looks very luxurious, you're right! ♥

Because it is a body milk, it has a light texture that is quickly absorbed by the skin. It doesn't feel greasy at all. It moisturizes the skin well but of course not as much as a cream would do. I find it perfect to use it in the morning before putting on your clothes because it won't stain them, it will keep your skin moisturized and nicely perfumed! The smell is really close to J'adore fragrance and it's a real pleasure to use it! love love it!

This Beautifying BodyMilk is part of the new J'adore L'Or line. The other products are J’adore L’Or Bottle 400 ml , J’adore L’Or 40 ml, J’adore Perfumed Body Lotion, J’adore Perfumed Body Cream, J’adore Perfumed Shower Gel, J’adore Perfumed Deodorant spray, J’adore Perfumed Soap, J’adore Hair Mist spray, J’adore Dry Silky Body Oil 100 ml , J’adore Géant Eau de Parfum 1.3 L.

Hair Mist spray? OMG, I have to have a closer look at it! I didn't know Dior had a hair perfume!

I also take this as an opportunity to share the press release information about J'adore L'Or! If you want a translation of a specific part, don't hesitate to ask me in the comment section!

J’adore L’or

J’adore L’Or, la noblesse intense

OPI - Sleigh Ride For Two, My Favorite Ornament, and Pure

Hello,

The new OPI collection for holiday already hit the stores and I wanted to show 3 pretty polishes from this collection! Ready? ;D

Sleigh Ride For Two is a gorgeous marron red shimmery polish. It has a  perfect formula and is opaque in 2 coats. This is the polish I'm wearing now ;) I love such a vampy shade, it's right up my alley!

Then I added OPI Pure 18K White Gold and Silver Top Coat as an accent nail! I love this top coat! I think I actually like it more than The Man With The Golden Gun which was released last year and which is a yellow gold leaf top coat. But both are pretty, that's right! It's easy to apply and is perfect to spice up a manicure. The flakes lay completely flat on the nails because the leaves are very thin.

My Favorite Ornament is a champagne glitter polish. This baby is officially my favorite holiday polish! It's so sparkly, but not in a show-off manner, it looks rather very sophisticated, like if you had real jewels on your nails! I used 3 coats.

I really like this new OPI collection! I've also already bought the 3 mini packs and swatched Kiss Me At MidnightHERE :D And you, how do you like this collection?

Purchase info:
OPI polishes can be purchased in professional nail salons, certains pharmacies, and beauty supplies.
For Switzerland, you can search for licensed retailers here.

LE NOUVEAU PARFUM ET LA NOUVELLE COLLECTION BEAUTÉ

Parfois sportive. Toujours sexy.

Thoughts: OMG, I love the nail polishes in Scandal and Envy! And the lipsticks look so pretty and elegant! I'm looking forward to seeing the products in stores! Launching date is mid-November. Unfortunately for me (and maybe that's not so bad for my wallet) the makeup collection is exclusive to Jelmoli Zürich.

Cadillacquer - Christmas Collection

Hello,

After her awesome Breaking Bad collection (reviewed HERE and HERE), Cadillacquer is coming back with a beautiful Christmas collection! This collection is made of 4 jellies packed with much awesomeness :D

Lights Will Guide You is a dark green jelly, filled with glowing light green sparkles and different sized metallic copper hex glitters. The green sparkles are strong and you can see them as a bright and visible green shimmer. It gets opaque in 2 coats but depending on how you apply your polish, you may need a third coat. Here I applied 2 coats unless on my index and pinkie where I applied 3 because I wanted to see if it looked different with 3 coats.
I love the combination of green and copper, it looks super pretty!

Picture taken in direct light.

Picture taken in indirect light.

Glowing Christmas is a berry red jelly, filled with different sized red and magenta metallic glitters and very small silver glitters. The tiny silver glitters relfect the light very well and you will see them almost as a fine holographic shimmer. I used 3 coats.
Awww this one is probably my favorite from this collection. It looks so squishy. Really amazing and perfect for the holidays!!

Between Two Fir Trees is a very light baby pink, almost white jelly with a subtle silver shimmer, small dark metallic green and very small gold holo glitter. I could also spot (in my macro picture) some tiny white flakes that reflect the light with a fine holo effect. In the bottle, it looks very sparkly but on the nails you lose some of the sparkles. You still have some but it's more sublte. You can't really see them in my pictures because they were difficult to capture.
You can use 2 or 3 coats to get full opacity. Here I used 2 coats on my middle and ring finger and 3 coats on my index and pinkie, but they almost look the same.
It's also a very pretty polish and perfect for Christmas!

Night Clouds is a royal blue jelly with green to gold color changing sparkles and square gold holographic glitters. The green/gold shimmer is very visible in real life but difficult to capture on camera...I used 2 coats.
This one is also to die for and I guess a lot of people will get excited about it! It's one of my favorite with Glowing Christmas.
NB. For this polish, the color is more accurate on the first picture. And the second picture shows the gorgeous flakes better.

And some macro pictures!

Sooo what do you think of this collection? I absolutely love Glowing Christmas and Night Clouds, they are my favorites although the two others are also really pretty! They all had a very good formula and were easy to apply. All the glitters laid flat on my nails.

Dior Trianon Spring 2014

$

0

Make-up tips

Make-up tips

Thoughts: So happy! I'm always very excited to see Dior spring collections because they're always so sweet, pastel, and cute. And this year again, I'm not disappointed! The Marquise Clutch is deliciously beautiful, I love the colors and style! Concerning the lip products, I fall for Rose Crinoline and the Coral lip glow. I have the regular version of it (I've almost used it all) and I love it! The nail polishes...? I don't think I will be able to resist very long. I want Porcelaine and Bouquet! I'm very lucky because I could have already tried Perlé and it's awesome, a mainly pink shimmer that dries to a matte finish. I'll show you it in more details soon on the blog!

OPI Pure 18k White Gold & Silver Top Coat

Hello,

I hope you all had a nice weekend! This will be a quick post about a gorgeous polish I really like! I'm baking a tarte tatin while writing this post so fingers crossed it will be yummy. It's the first time I'm trying it!

OPI Pure 18k White Gold & Silver Top Coat is made of 18k white gold and silver flakes. The base is almost transparent but has a slightly yellow tinge. This is not noticeable if you use it on top of dark colors and the flakes will look almost white! I've also tried it over a very light grey creme and in this case you could see the base was very slighlty yellow but that was subtle.
Here I used one coat over OPI Incognito in Sausalito (reviewed HERE) and mattified everything with OPI Matte top coat. I'm in love with this matte top coat, it's the best I've ever tried!!
I've also tried Pure over OPI Sleigh Ride For Two HERE.

It comes in a gorgeous box!!

OPI polishes can be purchased in professional nail salons, certains pharmacies, and beauty supplies.

Hi everyone,

Last week I wore an awesome polish,i.e., piCture pOlishImperial! I know it would be awesome but I blew my mind because it's even more beautiful than what I had imagined!

Imperial was created in collaboration with the talented Jeanette of the Swatchaholic. Imperial is described by piCture pOlish as follows: "Imperial is a majestic purple with scattered holo, blue glass flecks and a smattering of small gold hex glitters for added royalty!" You can learn more about this shade directly from Jeanette's blog post HERE.

Final thoughts: I h
Thoughts: This polish is mind-blowing! I love the purple base, the blue glass flecks and the gold glitters! Purple and gold look actually stunning together! Another thing that I like is that the glitters are rather small and they were quite easy to remove! piCture pOlish and Jeanette (the Swatchaholic) did an awesome job! I'm super happy with this polish!!
I used 2 coats on my index and 3 on the other nails. The polish dries to a satin finish (pictures are with top coat).

And you, what do you think about Imperial?Do you love it as much as I do?
